A tiny circa 1915 cottage in the heart of Monument Colorado had seen generations of use and was really starting to show it.  The current owner wanted to turn this small cottage into his forever home.  Family is extremely important and so this addition and renovation needed to make this the home that the entire extended family would feel comfortable and welcome in.  The existing home had three bedrooms and two bathrooms that had been added on over the years, which left a very cut up and inefficient layout. We gutted the existing cabin to open up the layout and made a living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen and dining area. A large two story side addition gave a sizeable family room and second story master suite ample space for entertainment and living.  A residential elevator was installed so that this home could be used for years to come.  Also, a luxurious three-car garage was added to the rear of the home for ample storage for toys and vehicles. This old and outdated cabin is now the pride and joy of this homeowner.
